So, I am sure ones and twos of you showed. Thanks.

I dragged ass out of bed around 10:00, I got over to
McClyomonds around 11:00. Some happy kids throwing water at each other told me in that happy kids throwing water at each other type of way that the trees where getting planted over on Magnolia.

I headed over to Magnolia St. There were two teams of around 5 on each side of the street. We dug, planted, watered, staked, and moved on.

My crew where freshly scrubbed college students doing a 'peace corps' type thing. Ten white folk planting trees and all of the neighborhood seemed african-American.

It was a good vibe. Folks let us use their water hoses
and said 'hello', and chated it up amicably.

A semi-coherent shopping cart guy gave us lots of advice on the need to water these new trees heavily after transplanting them, his claimed expertise was farming fourty acres of almond trees in better bygone times.

We finished up around 1:00, at which point I hungrily passed El Milagro taco truck (Which was really hopping) and decided to just come home.
